Today I drank poop coffee.
.....You read that right.
And it was delicious. Now, this coffee isn't cheap. It can cost $65 for 2oz of coffee beans.
The coffee beans are picked and fed to the Luwak animal, where it is then digested. During the digestion, the bright red coffee berry is eaten by the stomach acid. What is left is a sweet, fullbodied bean. The bean is then shelled and grinded to make the coffee.
It is smooth, with a deep taste. Luwak coffee was made famous by Jack Nicolson, who announced it as "the rarest beverage in the world" in The Bucket List and later tried by celebrities such as 2 Chainz.
I was able to not only taste "the rarest coffee in the world", but crush the beans as well. Below, you can view the coffee in its many stages, see me crushing up the coffee beans, and view the different flavors of coffee the plantation had to offer.
Ironically, I wore my "Coffee, Oils Repeat." Tee as well today!
Would you eat the Luwak coffee?
